Continuing this week with the Cards for Men theme, today’s card in called Hole In One.
I used the On To Adventure stamp set – a fun and quirky stamp set with four cute images and 6 age appropriate sentiments. They just beg to be stamped and coloured.
There’s a few different techniques used on this card – masking and sponging together with die cutting and colouring with Stampin’ Blends.
I had a little fun with the colours and used Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends for the shirt and then gave it a Balmy Blue collar to co-ordinate with the golfers trousers. I’ve seen far worse colours and combinations on actual golf courses!!
Instructions for this Hole In One card
- Pear Pizzazz card base – 10.5 x 29.7 cm
- Score and fold in half at 14.9 cm
- Old Olive panel – 10.0 x 14.4 cm
- Adhere to card front using dimensionals (foam pads).
- Whisper White panel – 9.5 x 13.9 cm
- Stamp image in Tuxedo Black onto panel and then another onto a sticky note.
- Cut out image on sticky note and place over the stamped image on the Whisper White panel.
- Die cut smaller oval from a large sticky note. Place onto card front so that the golfer is slightly up from centre. Using sponge and Old Olive ink to create the green. Remove sticky note.
- Die cut larger oval from a large sticky note. Place onto card front so that the golfer and green is slightly up from centre. Using sponge and Pear Pizzazz ink to create the green. Remove sticky note.
- Remove the mask from the golfer and colour in using Stampin’ Blends.
- Glue to the card front.
- Whisper White scrap
- Stamp sentiment and then cut out using oval die from the Layering Oval Dies
- Add to card front using dimensionals
- Whisper White panel for inside – 10.0 x 14.4 cm
- Stamp image in corner and colour using Stampin’ Blends.
- Glue panel to inside of card.
