Yesterday morning I did a facebook live and it’s now uploaded to YouTube. So today, I thought I’d share the Dashing Deer World Card Making Day video with you. There are with a few warts – the dog decided to howl!

Here’s the actual card that I made on the video. Dashing Deer World Card Making Day   Dashing Deer World Card Making Day

Dimensions and details for cutting the cardstock and designer series paper are as follows –

  • Gray Granite cardstock – 10.5 x 29.7 cm (A4 cut in half along it’s length). Score at 14.9 cm and then cut 7.0 cm off the end. The larger scored piece forms the base card. And, the second piece which should measure 7.0 x 10.5 cm forms the piece on the front which has the deer on it. You also need a scrap piece for stamping the three deer.
  • Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) – cut at 10.0 cm giving you a strip measuring 10.0 x 30.5 xm. Cut up strip to give the following 10.0 x 14.4 cm, 10.0 x 7.5 cm and 10.0 x 6.5 cm. Cut an additional piece of DSP measuring 7.0 x 10.5 cm if gluing the Whisper White to it.
  • Whisper White – 7.0 x 10.5 cm (if you don’t want to add additional DSP inside or 6.5 x 10.0 cm if gluing to some DSP).

Instructions for the Dashing Deer World Card Making Day card –

  • Glue the 10.0 x 14.4 cm piece of DSP to the inside back panel.
  • Adhere the 10.0 x 7.5 cm piece of DSP to the front flap of the base card.
  • Glue the 10.0 x 6.5 cm piece of DSP to the 110.5 x 7.0 cm piece that you cut off the card base. I used the reverse side of the DSP to give a contrast.
  • Using Soft Suede ink, stamp the three deer onto the scrap piece of Gray Granite cardstock and then cut them out using the co-ordinating die.
  • Add the deer to the smaller piece of Gray Granite/DSP using Multipurpose Glue and or Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Fix the small front panel to the front flap of the base card. Apply the adhesive (Multipurpose Glue or Stampin’ Dimensionals) to the half being stuck to the base card.
  • Stamp a small deer in Soft Suede ink onto the small piece of Whisper White and then glue the Whisper White to the DSP (if you have cut a piece).

I used the same cutting instuctions to make the following cards     There are some additions to a couple of the cards – ribbon on the second and the third uses a larger piece of Whisper White. Check out the video and don’t forget to subscribe so that you don’t miss future ones. Happy stamping. Fiona xx
