When I decided to become a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator some 7 years ago, I never thought for one moment that my love of stamps, ink and paper would bring me here. But, here I am sitting on a cruise ship and enjoying the 2018 Alaska Incentive Trip with my husband, George.
We flew into Seattle on Thursday and spent a night there before joining the ship.
George and I managed to do a little sightseeing on the Thursday afternoon. But the weather was cool and cloudy (great change from the UK) so the photos don’t look that great.
Day One – All Aboard
Someone told me to make sure that I had extra room for all the stamps and other goodies that we would receive but I thought that is was a bit of an exaggeration. Luckily I was awake early on Friday morning and nipped to the local Target store to pick up a hold-all just in case.
Boarding didn’t take too long and we arrived at our cabin to find two out of three of our suitcases outside. The third one turned up about 20 minutes later. We also found this cute souvenir on our door.
Day One is a settling in day so we really didn’t do too much. After the obligatory emergency drill there was a Stampin’ Up! welcome event and to say that I was a little star struck is an understatement. I’m doing my best not to stalk people!
Tomorrow we will continue to cruise up the coast towards Alaska and there is one Stampin’ Up! event that I can’t wait to attend. More about that another day.
