Graceful Garden – CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #315

Wei is our host for April’s challenges. The first one is a colour one, and I’ve decided to use the Graceful Garden stamp set.

These are the colours chosen by Wei.

I don’t know if Wei chose these colours because of the alliteration (the occurrence of the same letter or sound at the beginning of adjacent or closely connected words) or simply because she liked them. However, in keeping with the alliteration for the colours, I decided to follow it with my choice of stamp set – Graceful Garden.

Instructions to make this Graceful Garden card

• Make a Gorgeous Grape card base – 10.5 x 29.7 cm scored and folded in half at 14.9 cm.
• Cut a Whisper White panel – 9.0 x 13.4 cm.
• Also cut Grapefruit Grove and Granny Apple Green squares – each 6.0 x 6.0 cm
• Using Gorgeous Grape ink, stamp the trellis image onto the Whisper White panel.
• Using a scrap of Whisper White, a Stamparatus, some Washi Tape and also Grapefruit Grove and Granny Apple Green ink, stamp the flower image.
  • Use Washi Tape to mask off portions of the stamp so that it can be inked just on the portion required.
  • The Stamparatus is used so that the second portion of the stamp can be inked in the second colour and the image re-stamped in a perfect position.
• Fussy cut around the floral image using a pair of sharp paper snips. And, then add to the Whisper White panel using foam pads (Stampin’ Dimensionals).
• On diagonally opposite corners, glue the Grapefruit Grove and Granny Apple Green squares to the reverse side of the Whisper White panel.
• Fix the Whisper White panel to the card front using foam pads (Stampin’ Dimensionals).
• Add a Whisper White panel measuring 10.0 x 14.4 cm ( stamped with the Gorgeous Grape trellis image) to the inside of the card.
