Welcome to the latest Simple Stamping Saturdays No.11. This week features the Country Home stamp set along with a few of the 2017-2019 In Colours that will be leaving us when the current Annual Catalogue expires. Yep, it’s getting to that time of the year where we say goodbye to items that will not be available in the new Annual Catalogue.

In any Annual Catalogue there are two sets of In Colors that are only available for a limited time – 2 years. It’s one of the ways that Stampin’ Up! stay on trend with their colours and avoids a complete revamp of the colour line up every year.

These are the Simple Stampin Saturdays No.11 cards

All three cards started as Whisper White Notecards. In order to keep it simple, only three stamps were used.

Here are the cards in more detail.

Simple Stamping Saturdays No.11 - Berry Burst

The first card (above)

  • The large square is made by stamping the image four times in Berry Burst ink. The stamp set is made from Photopolymer so it is easy to see where you are placing the stamp.
  • The oval is stamped next and then the sentiment.

There are four sentiments that will fit in the oval so plenty to choose from.

The second card (above) is stamped using Fresh Fig ink.

  • Start with the square in the centre and then worked up and then down adding the extra images.
  • The oval and sentiment are stamped like the first card. Just in a different place.

The third and last card below is stamped using Lemon Lime Twist ink.

Simple Stamping Saturdays No.11 - Lemon Lime Twist

This third card uses a simple stamping technique called Stamping Off.

  • Stamp the first square – the one in the middle on the far left.
  • Then immediately stamp the second image above the first (no re-inking involved).
  • For the third square re-ink before stamping.
  • Stamp the fourth square immediately after the third square (no re-inking).

Simply repeat using inked and then not re-inked stamp.

I used this technique to stamp the two vertical lines that I wanted.

Where necessary use a piece of scrap paper to stamp the first image to remove some ink. This is important if the first image is coming off the card. You need to re-ink and stamp off to avoid getting a line on the image.

Don’t forget, these and the other two colours will be retiring soon and the closer we get to that date the more likely that they will become unavailable. What’s more, it’s not just the inks that will be retiring but the associated cardstock, embellishments etc. So, don’t leave it to the last minute.

Here are all five colours together. You can shop your favourite by clicking on the colour below.
