Today it’s the turn of the Everything Amazing stepped up cards. There are two versions of the original card shared yesterday. You will find it here – Simple Stamping No. 23
This first card is a very simple stepped up version.
The Granny Apple Green and Mango Melody sentiments were stamped onto strips of Whisper White card stock and then added to the card front using dimensionals (foam pads). Mango Melody stars have been stamped in the two top corners. This is a quick and simple way of stepping up a card if you don’t have a lot of supplies.
This second card is a bit more involved and includes a sneak peek of the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder that will be available on 4 September.
Instructions for this stepped up Everything Amazing card are as follows
Outside
- Pacific Point card base – 10.5 x 29.7cm
- Score card stock at 14.9 cm
- Emboss one end of the card stock (up to the score line) using the new Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder.
- TIPS – (i) the new 3D embossing folders are thinner than the old style Stampin’ Up! 3D Embossing Folders so you may need to play around with your “sandwich” until you find one that works in your die cutting machine. I have a Big Shot and found that the thick grey rubber mat from the retired Embossing Mats works with the standard base and one clear plate. (ii) Embossing the actual card front also causes the paper to warp. If this is a problem for you I suggest you cut an additional 10.5 x 14.9 cm piece of Pacific Blue card stock and emboss this piece and then glue it to the card front.
- Fold card on the score line to create the base card.
- Whisper White panel – 8.5 x 10.5 cm
- Stamp sentiment in Pacific Point ink. Ensure that the right hand side of the sentiment is close to one of the shorter straight edges.
- Cut out the sentiment using the largest of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.
- Fix to the card front using dimensionals (foam pads).
- Add some Granny Apple Green enamel dots from the Glitter Enamel Dots.
- Whisper White strip – 0.8 cm wide
- Stamp sentiment using Mango Melody ink
- Trim ends and add to Whisper White panel using dimensionals
- Whisper White strip – 0.5 cm wide
- Stamp sentiment using Granny Apple Green ink.
- Trim ends and add to Whisper White panel using dimensionals.
Inside
- Granny Apple Green panel – 10.0 x 14.4 cm
- Glue inside card.
- Whisper White panel – 9.5 x 13.9 cm
- Stamp image or sentiment in Pacific Point in desired place.
- Glue to Granny Apple Green card stock inside the card.
