Keeping it fairly simple today with these stepped up Sunday cards using Accented Blooms & Bird Ballad.  I wanted the Bird Ballad paper to be the main focus on the cards. Hopefully I have achieved this. Let me know what you think.

Accented Blooms & Bird Ballad

Instructions for this first card above

  • Stamp image using Old Olive ink onto the front of the notecard.
  • Adhere a strip of Bird Ballad paper (2.0 x 13.0 cm) across the front of the card.
  • Adhere a second strip of Bird Ballad paper (1.0 x 14.0 cm) along the middle of the first strip. Offset the top strip by one colour.
  • Trim the Bird Ballad paper.
  • Stamp sentiment in Tuxedo Black onto a scrap piece of Whisper White and then punch out using the Tailored Tag Punch.
  • Use a marker to add faux stitching around the tag.
  • Adhere the tag to the card front using dimensionals. There is a natural spot to place it on the image to place it.

This second card has three strips of the double sided paper glued across the front. Each measure 1.0 x 13.0 cm. Take card when gluing the paper to the notecard. It seems that the pattern does not repeat itself. I’ll leave you to spot the boo boo!

The third card is a very simple way of making the paper a feature. Simply trim 1.0 cm  off the card front and then glue a 2.0 cm strip inside the card.
