The result of this week’s poll means that Simple Stamping Saturdays No.20 is featuring the Friend Like You stamp set. Most people wouldn’t think that a two step stamp set could be thought as ok for simple stamping. I beg to differ because this is a photopolymer stamp set which in my opinion makes it ideal for anyone to use.
There are two different looks to the cards today. One involves a piece of double sided paper while the other just ink.
This card started as a simple Whisper White note card. Simply,
- Stamp a line of dragonflies diagonally across the card using a Pretty Peacock ink pad.
- Then, stamp the sentiment in Pretty Peacock onto a 4.0 x 4.0 cm piece of Seaside Spray double sided paper.
- Finally, adhere the stamped square to the card front using glue.
The second card (on right) has three stamps each in a different colour. The card is not the one I originally intended to make. However, I realised that the palm trees nested nicely above the sentiment, so it just had to be done! Especially because I’m currently in Southern California, where we have Palm Trees a plenty.
The card started as a Whisper White note card. Then,
- Stamp the sentiment in Coast Cabana. It should be stamped 1/3 the way up the card and centrally from side to side.
- Then, stamp the tree trunks (one stamp) in Soft Suede.
- Lastly stamp the tops of the palms trees (one stamp) in Granny Apple Green.
