I’m a little late in sharing my Floral Essence card for the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #324. I was already to post my card when I realised that I had managed to use the wrong colour sketch. For some reason I’d used the one that will be shared in two weeks time! So it’s been back to the drawing board for me.
The challenges this month are being hosted by YoonYoung and the first challenge involves three subtle colours.
I had a bit on an issue with the Powder Pink colour. It retired 3 June (it was one of the 2017-2019 In Colors), and I no longer have one! As a result, I substituted Petal Pink for it.
The Pool Party Flowers were stamped and then punched out using the Perennial Flower Punch. The stamp and punch have three petals, so the final flower is made up of two pieces glued together.
The central Powder Pink flower was simply stamped, coloured and then fussy cut with a pair of paper snips.
All three flowers have been fixed to the card front using foam pads. Of course, the inside of the card has been decorated too.
