Hope you all had a great weekend and managed to achieve whatever it was that you wanted. My Saturday was spent holding a joint training session with my fellow demonstrator Pip Todman. Over the last few years we have held quarterly training days for hers and my teams. It’s a great chance to meet and catch up with other demonstrators, and furthermore, we get to swap ideas and talk about all things in the Stampin’ Up! world.

Like all Stampin’ Up! get togethers there is usually a bit of swapping going on. Swaps are fun to make and receive. They give you ideas on how to use a particular stamp set or technique. What’s more, they quite often make you look at a particular set in a completely different way. Potentially, this is really dangerous because more often or not things end up being added to the the wish list!

This time around there was only five people making swaps and these are the ones received.

Pick a Pennant Thank You card training swap

My card was made using the Pick A Pennant stamp set. All of the birds were cut by hand because at the time I made the cards I did not have the coordinating Playful Pennants Framelits Dies. I do now!

Delicate Lace Thank You card swap

Barry used the Delicate Lace Edgelits as the key focus for his card. The smooshed Lovely Lipstick ink was applied to some Shimmer Card. Smooshing is a technique I need to try.

Animal Outing Welcome swap card

Pip used the Animal Outing Bundle for her card along with the Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. Everyone who came to training or who purchased the kit received a full pack of this paper.

Beautiful Bouquet swap card

Catherine used the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set (with coordinating dies) along with a sentiment from the Petal Palette stamp set.

Painted Glass Birthday swap

Katie used the Painted Glass stamp set to create her card. You may recall from last week’s posts that I love the gothic sentiments in this stamp set.

That’s it for today.

Happy stamping
