When going to an OnStage Event it is usual to make team gifts. For the recent event in Telford, I made some cute treat cups as gifts for the eight team members who came with me. Actually I made nine treat cups, but gave mine to a non team member sitting on the same table as us. So, glad that I took my photos before the event because I don’t have one anymore.
Take a closer look at one.
The Sweet Cups come with lids, in packs of 10 and are white in colour. I decorated them using double sided paper from the Painted Seasons pack of 12″ x 12″ paper. The Sweet Cups are on the retirement list, and I’m sorry to see them go.
Instructions for decorating the treat cups
I used a template found on the internet from Dee Slater (createwithdee.com). Printed it full size onto a piece of A4 photocopier paper, and then cut it out.
To create the sides you need to –
- On the reverse side of the double sided paper draw around the template. Make sure that you choose paper where it does not matter if the design goes on an angle.
- Cut out the shape.
- Apply glue to the reverse side of the double paper and don’t forget to put glue on both ends too.
- Place the paper around the treat cup – the top edge will fit under the lip of the cup and the ends will overlap slightly. It may be necessary to trim around the bottom a little.
The tops of the treat cups were decorated using –
- Cut Strips of Poppy Parade cardstock for the edges.
- A mixture of Poppy Parade cardstock, Painted Seasons double sided paper (Sale-A-Bration) and Whisper White cardstock were cut using the Layering Circle Dies and the Stitched Shapes dies.
- Stamp the sentiment in Poppy Parade onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and then punch out using the Pretty Label Punch.
- Punch a small flower punch from the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack (discontinued) and then a circle using the 1-3/4′” Circle Punch from Poppy Parade cardstock.
- Adhere a length of Flax Ribbon to the underside of the Poppy Parade circle.
- Then put the whole of the top was put together using glue and foam pads.
