At classes this weekend we have been having fun with the new Watercolor Pencils. If you haven’t got them and tried them yet, they are an absolute must have and so much fun.

I will admit that before trying these out I was not one for spending lots of time colouring in images. But, colouring has proved to be a great stress reliever and addictive, and I really enjoyed myself while making the samples for class.

I had prepared four projects for the classes but I’m only going to share two of them here.

For both of these projects we used the Just Add Color Specialty Designer Series Paper. I used two different techniques to do the actual colouring.
The Melon Mambo card was straightforward colouring the images with the pencils and then using a Blender Pen to move the colour around to get the effect I wanted.
The Bermuda Bay card was using an Aqua Painter to pick up colour from the tip of each pencil and then colouring in the images. This method gives a more muted colour scheme.

The classes were pretty quiet compared to the usual chatter and laughter. Everyone was in their own little world enjoying their colouring, and it was amazing how two and a half hours went so quickly.

Details of the products used in class are below. Spend £15.00 or more with me online this month, and I will send you the link to the tutorials that I prepared for the classes.

Don’t forget that July is also Bonus Day month so don’t miss out on a free spend in August.
