This past week or so has been a little manic around here. Last Friday I held a get together for the team and as always I had a Make N Take prepared for them to do.

One of the stamps and co-ordinating designer series paper that I was able to purchase as part of my pre-order was the Pieces & Patterns stamp set and the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper.  One of the reasons that I bought it was because of the cute bear, but on using the set I’ve come to realise just what can be done with it.

The card that I made as the Make N Take was based on one I’d seen on Pinterest by Mary Fish.

This is my version.

Instead of cutting a moose out of the designer series paper (like Mary), I stamped three bears onto the tag and a fourth one onto a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock.  The bear was simply fussy cut out and I took a marker to his nose and ears to darken them. He was then popped on a dimensional and fixed over the middle bear on the tag. I also changed out the Baker’s Twine because I only had Basic Black.

The day after training I had an All Day Eastern Palace Stamp A Stack class, but I was able to play a little more with the Pieces & Patterns stamp set and the paper and I came up with a few more cards.

The card above is very simple because there was no stamping involved. I simply used three scraps of paper and layered them onto some Crushed Curry and Basic Black cardstock.

The card below was a little more involved because there was some fussy cutting of the grass and the mammoth and some colouring in of the letters. The mammoth is actually popped up on a dimensional so that his truck and tusks hang over the grass.

There are a few more cards that were made, and those coming to the Open House on Saturday will be able to see them there. I don’t want to spoil all their fun.

Details of the stamp set, which available in wood mount too, and the designer series paper are below

I hope you like the cards and please feel free to leave a comment.
