I’m so glad that the last seven days are over and done with. I’ve somehow managed to catch a cold – the first (and hopefully last) for Winter 2015, and it knocked me for six. Although I’m not exactly over it as yet,  I’ve had so much that I had planned to do this past weekend that I simply had to get on with it. So, I’ve spent the weekend in my PJs planning and making samples for classes. In fact, I’ve been pretty busy. The samples and ordering for team training on 24 October is now done, and the samples and ordering for the Christmas Stamp-a-Stack class on 31 October is also sorted.

I’m not in a position to post photos of the projects for training or the Christmas Stamp-a-Stack as they are meant to be a surprise for all those coming. I can however share another card that I made today. I know that the CAS blog challenge is well and truly over but I like the colour combination so much that I’ve made another using Night of Navy, Soft Sky and Metallic Gold.

The houses/snow were cut out of Shimmery White paper using the Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies.  The paper has a lovely shimmer but unfortunately you can’t see it in the photo. The greeting stamped in Night of Navy comes from the Jingle All the Way stamp set.  These co-ordinating goodies can be purchased individually or as a bundle.

My gold elements are in the form of the gold embossed star and the Gold Glimmer Paper that is behind the houses and peeking through the windows. The star is from the Jolly Christmas stamp set. Yes I know, I don’t usually like to mix my stamp sets but the little star (or could be a snowflake) from the Jolly Christmas stamp set seemed to me to be just the one to use.

This was a really quick and simple card to make, and would be even quicker if you didn’t bother to cut fiddly bits to stick behind the windows! A great card if you have lots to make.
