it’s finished.

No, it’s not an April Fools day trick.  It’s only taken me a week but that’s because I’ve been side-tracked so many times by so called important things. Personally, I would argue that my crafting is vitally important to my sanity so, it should in my book take precedence. But family needs must!

This is what I’ve been working on and I hope you like it after all the promises that I’ve made to show you.

There are lots of photos of these peg wreaths on the internet, but this is my take on it. I love the bright colours in the Designer Series Paper that I used, and this makes it a suitable decoration for both Spring (not that we have seen it) or Summer (here’s hoping).

I’m amazed that the wreath only took 42 large wooden pegs (they are just under 4″ long). I’ve seen some blogs were they have used over 50! The wreath base is a piece of thick card that I cut and covered in the same Designer Series Paper as the pegs. This is because I knew that the card would show between the pegs and I didn’t just want the cardboard showing through.

Stampin’ Up! Supplies used:

Card Stock : Rose Red, Baja Breeze and Daffodil Delight
Designer Series Paper : Floral District
Accessories : Stampin’ Trimmer, Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, Fancy Fold Fan Textured Impression Embossing folder, Basic Rhinestones, Multipurpose Glue

I had a few pegs left over and I will be posting a photo of what I’ve done with some of them over on the Oakfield Crafts Facebook page (my mother had a couple too).

Check back tomorrow to see what else I’ve been up to this Bank Holiday weekend.
