The Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #553 popped up on my Facebook Feed the other day. I thought it suited the Cottage Rose Bundle perfectly so thought I’d have a go. The problem was whether I should think a little outside the box (pardon the pun) or simply follow the sketch.

If you’d like to see the challenge in more detail along with the cards by the design team click on the picture below.

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #553

In the end, I made two cards. The first one is very simple with everything being cut using my paper trimmer. The second one involves some die-cutting and circles instead of squares.

Mint Macaron card base with squares of Mint Macaron cardstock and co-ordinating paper from the Design A Daydream 12″ x 12″ pack of paper.

Petal Pink card base this time. The circles have been die-cut using both the Layering Circles Dies and the Stylish Shapes Dies. The sentiment banner was also die-cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies.
