I know it’s still summer and no one is really wanting to think about Christmas, so I thought I’d share another Autumnal card that I’ve made using the Blended Seasons bundle. You can check out the previous one here.
It would also make a great card to give anytime of year for lots of reasons for example retirement, male birthday.
How I made this Autumnal card
The card was pretty easy to make, the steps being as follows:
- Night of Navy base card – 10.5 x 29.7 cm (A4 cut in half). Score and fold at 14.9 cm to create the card base.
- Cajun Craze layer – 10.0 x 14.4 cm stamped all over using Cajun Craze ink and the leaves stamp from the Blended Seasons stamp set.
- Cajun Craze label – 10.0 x 14.4 cm stamped as per the previous layer and then cut out using the large label from the Stitched Season Framelits dies.
- Cajun Craze leaves – 3 pieces of scrap cardstock, die cut using the leaf die from the Stitched Season Framelits.
- Whisper White label – stamped using Night of Navy ink and then die cut using the Stitched Season Framelits. Three gold metallic pearls were added for some extra interest.
- Make up medallion using the three leaves, and both labels. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to hold everything together and to fix to the card front.
- Whisper White inside – 10.0 x 14.4 cm stamped using Cajun Craze and the leaves stamp from the Blended Seasons stamp set. Glued to the inside of the card to provide somewhere to write a greating.
I love the faux stitiching around the labels. It appears on both sides of the cut.
TIP – if you are looking to save cardstock, you could simply cut the Cajun Craze label from the 10.0 x 14.4 cm layer after you have stamped it. This would then give you the additional faux stitching around the aperture.
