Things haven’t quite gone to plan since arriving back from the USA on Tuesday, but such is life. I have however been able to make one card using the soon to be released Colour Your Season bundle. It’s heading into wedding season so I thought I’d go with that theme.
I’ve used a variety of techniques to make the card just to show how versatile the dies and stamps are.
Embossing with dies.
Did you know that you can use your thinlits and framelits to emboss instead of cut? The label framelits in the Stitched Season Framelits have faux stitching on both sides of the cutting ridge. So when you use the new Big Shot Embossing Mats to emboss you get a great frame such as the one on the base card above. A simple and elegant way to make a focal point for a wedding card or any other card for that matter.
Mirror stamping using the Stamparatus.
This is a technique that I hadn’t tried before making this card and I’m still perfecting it. The branch image on the left is the original image and the one on the right was stamped using the technique.
Colouring using the Stampin’ Blends.
Not a new one, but one of my favourite techniques. I used Old Olive (light and dark), Flirty Flamingo (light and dark) and also Smoky Slate (light and dark).
