Another Tuesday means it’s time for the latest CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge. This week Jeanne has a sketch for us.

This one had me a little stumped at first, but then I thought that I could actually do something with some dies and my Big Shot.

Challenge card using the Botanical Tags

It took a little working out but I think it came out fine. Basic directions are –

  • Using the largest circle die from the Layering Circle Framelits, cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock. Ensure that the top plate for the “sandwich” only covers one half of the die. This technique is a way of only cutting half a circle. You can then trim the cardstock so give the desired ‘D” shape.
  • Make the star shape using the Botanical Tags Thinlits. Then layer it on top of the “D” shaped piece.

I could have used a second die from the Botanical Tags set to cut around the rest of the star die but I liked that this matched up with the “D” shape underneath.

Keeping the inside of the card clean and simple seemed the right idea this time around.

My only question on this card was whether to add some bling or not.

Which do you prefer because I really can’t make up my mind?

Hope you like my challenge card and don’t forget to go check out what the other design team members have made. You can find them by clicking HERE.

Happy stamping
