This week Bev has a sketch for us to try and it looks like this.
I have a lot of unused stamp sets sitting on my shelf at the moment so I decided to christen one for this challenge. It’s called Perennial Birthday and I love it. The stamp set has a co-ordinating kit but I’ve not used that for the challenge.
I tried to think a little outside the box this week and as you can see, I’ve cut around the flower and through the sentiment with a circle die. The circle is glued to the Calypso Coral layer beneath, and then the rest of the Whisper White layer is popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I have to admit that I am really pleased with how this card turned out and I completed it by stamping both the inside of the card and the back of the envelope too.
I coloured the flower and leaves using my Stampin’ Blends in Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Pool Party. They are alcohol markers which meant that I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink for stamping the images and sentiment.
I hope you like the card and leave a comment and, don’t forget to stop by the CAS Colour & Sketches Blog to see what the other members of the Design Team have been up to.
Happy stamping.
