Painted Glass – CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge # 277

I’m really excited to share today’s card that I made as part of the CAS Colours & Sketches Design Team. Wei has a colour challenge for us this week.

I’ve been wanting to try out my new Painted Glass stamp set and these colours gave me the perfect opportunity.

I love the gothic style sentiments in this stamp set and of course the image that I’ve used is just perfect for colouring. The circle image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured using Stampin’ Blends. I used both the dark and light versions of each colour, with the darker blends in the centre and the lighter ones on the outside.

The inside of the card looks like this.

Not surprisingly, I used the exact same image as the front and coloured it in the exact same way too.

Brief instructions for the card are as follows:

• Calypso Coral base card – 10.5 x 29.7 cm scored and folded at 14.9 cm.
• Bermuda Bay mat – 10.0 x 14.4 cm adhered to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Whisper White panel – 9.5 x 13.9 cm with circle image and sentiment stamped on it in Memento Tuxedo Black. The image was coloured using Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends, and then glued to the Bermuda Bay layer. The centre of the circle is completed by the addition of a small black Faceted Dot.
• Whisper White inside panel – 10.0 x 14.4 cm which was stamped, coloured and then glued inside the card.
