This past Saturday was time for the All Day Christmas Decor & Gifts class. It was certainly a noisy class at times, but fun was had by all making the projects I had designed.

I designed a number of projects was trying to think a little outside of the box and come up with something different. Namely:

  • Acetate Card Boxes are not just for cards
  • Three things to do with the Treat Bags
  • Scenic jam jars
  • Tags and more tags
  • Home Decor using the Green Sprigs.
I’m not going to share all the projects, but here are a couple of them.

I used the Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies to create the scene to decorate this jam jar. The scenes were cut out from both Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock. The Whisper White in one long run and the Basic Back in three separate pieces. The three Basic Black pieces made it easier to glue them to the back of the Whisper White so that they were offset slightly.
I have to admit that this is probably my favourite project from the day. I suspect that it was also a favourite of some of the attendees too. I am going to have to pop over to our local PoundShop sometime over this week. They have some mini lights which will look really great in the jar.
Another project was made using an Acetate Card Box cut in half. In fact I made two different looking ones, but with the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set for both boxes.
Snowflake Sentiments, Year of Cheer, Stampin' Up!, gifts,
The one above uses the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper and some Copper Foil. Inside is a large cookie from a local supermarket.
The one below uses the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper. I wrapped a chocolate bar (Ritter Sport bar) in some more of the designer series paper to make it look a bit more festive.

Please let me know what you think by leaving a comment. I would love to hear from you.
