This week Karen has a colour challenge to tempt us.
I broke out my Paisleys & Posies stamp set along with the co-ordinating Paisley Framelits Dies.
I’m a sucker for paisley prints, so this stamp set is most definitely one of my favourites.
The instructions to make the card are as follows:
- A 14.9 x 21.0 cm piece of Bermuda Bay card stock was scored and folded at 10.5 cm to make the card base.
- The dotted outline was stamped in Crushed Curry onto the 10.0 x 14.4 cm piece of Whisper White.
- The inner image was stamped in Bermuda Bay and the image was then coloured in using the three inks and a blender pen.
- Use two of the dies from the Paisley framelits – the smaller one first to cut out the centre and then the larger one the dotted outline. You will end up with two die cut pieces and the Whisper White base.
- The sentiment was stamped in Bermuda Bay onto the 10.0 x 14.4 cm piece of Whisper White.
- The Whisper White piece was then glued to the card front.
- The larger die cut piece was then glued back and the smaller piece was then adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
You can see it in more detail on the photo below.
I then went a little overboard with the card and took the die cutting one stage further. Probably a bit too much for a CAS card but I like the added dimension.
I had a lot of fun making this card and it was pretty quick to do.
If you fancy taking part in the challenge you can find the link over on the CC&S Blog along with photos of the other design team members projects.
