This weekend I had fun playing with the Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set. This set is this year’s charity stamp set in aid of the Ronald McDonald House Charities, and for each stamp set sold £2.00 is donated to the charities.
The stamp set is available in both Clear Mount and Wood Mount.
For this card I combined the stamp set with the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Everyday Jars Framelits.
The card was pretty easy to make as follows:
- Score and fold at 21.0 x 14.9 cm piece of Whisper White at 10.5 cm to make the card base.
- Adhere a 10.0 x 14.4 cm piece of the DSP to the card front and a 2.5 x 14.9 cm strip of the same DSP to the inside of the card.
- On a 8.5 x 13.4 cm piece of Whisper White stamp the jar in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Stamp the grass bottom inside the jar in Emerald Envy
- Using Emerald Envy and Chocolate Chip Stampin’ Write markers, ink up the branch stamp and then stamp this in the jar image.
- Scribble some Emerald Envy and Chocolate Chip ink onto an acrylic block and picking up the colour with a Blender Pen colour in the branch image.
- Using a Stamp-a-ma-jig to ensure correct placement, stamp the three ladybirds (2 on the branch and 1 outside the jar) in Memento Tuxedo Black.
- Colour in the ladybirds with a Blender Pen and Real Red ink.
- Wrap some Linen Thread around the bottom of the piece of Whisper White and then tie in a bow at the front.
- Adhere the stamp piece of Whisper White to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp a lid in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of scrap Whisper White and cut out using the appropriate lid framelit.
- Adhere the lid to the card so that it’s at an angle over the top of the stamped jar image.
I hope you like the card and that it’s inspired you to give it a go.
