As promised, I’ve now uploaded the tutorial for the Box Frame card that I shared with you on 21 March. I hope you give it a go and I’d appreciate any comments that you have.
The Friends & Flowers stamp set has stamps that can be used to make rabbits and fish but you can make other animals too. One of the things I took to training last weekend was a sheet with some punch art that I had made using the stamp set and various punches. The bears are based on an idea from Dorothy Guinan that I found on Pinterest.
I think my favourite is the Chocolate Chip bear.
Just so you know, I amended the original printed sheet. The lion originally had a further layer made up of a 2-3/8″ Hello Honey scallop circle stamped with Delighful Dijon. I really couldn’t make up my mind about it so decided to remove it. I’ll leave you to figure out whether you want to add the extra layer or not.
I’ll add this sheet to the tutorials so that it can be found more easily.
Here’s a card that a made featuring the bear.
I went a little mad with this one because I used three stamp sets, but I think the final card is worth it.
I used a brayer and Soft Suede ink on the ridges of the Woodgrain Embossing Folder before I put a piece of Crumb Cake in it and ran it through my Big Shot.
The trees from the Lovely As A Tree stamp set were stamped in Early Espresso onto a piece of Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz. I then cut off the trees from the Pear Pizzazz piece and glued it over the Soft Sky making sure to line up the base of the trees with the tree trunks. I then highlighted the grass and trees with a Blender Pen and some ink.
Let me know what you think and if you are interested in knowing details of some of the products used the information is as follows:
This is adorable! Great layout
