In the process of preparing ideas for the class I held the other week for a craft group I had a little play with the Cozy Christmas stamp set. In the end, I only used one of the cards that I designed but I had some spare images, and made one of them up into this card.
I used my Stampin’ Write Markers in Old Olive, Soft Suede and Early Espresso to ink the image. First off, the first whole image was stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock using Soft Suede and Old Olive. I then cleaned the stamp and re-inked just the tree part and stamped it few more times so that it looked like the house is in the middle of the forest.
The whole of the piece of Whisper White was then embossed using the Soft Falling embossing folder.
After cleaning the stamp again, I re-inked it in Early Espresso and stamped the image onto a scrap piece of Whisper White. I cut out the house (no chimney or smoke) and used the Fine-Tip Glue pen on the roof before applying some Dazzling Diamond Glitter.
You can just about make out from the photo that the “snow” on the roof is raised. I added the house to the card using a Dimensional.
I didn’t take this card to the club for the ladies to make because it takes a couple of hours for the glue to dry, and unfortunately we didn’t have the time for that.
Details of the Stampin’ Up! products used for this card are as follows:
Thank you, Lois. I think my favourite part is the sparkle on the roof.
This is a lovely card.
