This week George and I celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary. There was one massive problem with this. We were 5500 miles apart so we were not able to celebrate.

Before I left for the USA I made and left a card to be opened on the day. I think it’s safe to post a photo now as it’s some days after the event.

Traditionally 30th wedding anniversaries are said to be Pearl but apparently now-a-days they are said to be either Pearl or Diamond. Either way, I had to come up with a card that was a little more masculine to mark the occasion.

Here’s the card that I designed and made for the occasion. I think he liked it!

Stampin’ Up! supplies used:

Stamp set : Six Sided Sampler and Express Yourself (Hostess set)
Card stock : Brushed Gold, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake
Ink : Early Espresso, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake
Accessories : Hexagon Punch, Basic Pearls, Paper Snips and Dimensionals

In case you were wondering, each of the hexagons was stamped and then punched out. They were all glued flat onto the card with the exception of the one that is holding the banners onto the card. This one was adhered using a couple of dimensionals.

I finished off the inside of the card with a piece of Very Vanilla so that I could write my message.
