I was browsing Pinterest the other day and I came across a photo of a piece of card stock that had been double embossed with the same embossing folder. It’s pinned to my “Techniques for cards” board if you want to check it out.
I couldn’t find out who the originator was other than it dated back to 2011 by Rainy Blogs and it is called “In and Out Embossing”. One of the double embossed images was made using a large polka dot folder so I thought I would give it a go with the new Stampin’ Up! Large Polka Dot embossing folder.
The technique is really quite simple – emboss the card stock one way and then flip the card stock over and emboss again (once you are happy where the image will be). The end result is that you have an embossed and debossed piece of card stock that you can then use as a background.
This is what I did with one of the pieces of Whisper White card stock that I tried this technique on.
I’m going to have to wait until I get back to the UK to try this out with some of my other embossing folders as this is the only one that I have here with me.
