Even though I have been busy tidying up all the retiring Designer Series Paper and also playing with my new goodies, I have still found some to play with a new favourite of mine, the Summer Silhouettes stamp set. Here’s a little card that I came up with.
I used a Sketch Challenge from the latest CAS – Colours and Sketches # 29 challenge.
I am away in the USA at the moment – another college trip with my daughter. And because of the five hour time difference I’m not sure if I can get it to post and link before the deadline expires. If you click on the following it will however take you to the challenge to see the cards from the design team and the other entries.
Rather than use paper to make the horizontal and vertical areas I decided to be brave and get out my Stampin-a-ma-jig and stamp them. I stamped and then cut out all of the flowers and leaves/branches before gluing them onto the card – the last flower has been adhered using a Dimensional. I couldn’t resist adding a little bit of bling too.
Stampin’ Up! supplies used:
Stamp set : Summer Silhouettes
Card Stock : Whisper White and Wisteria Wonder
Ink : Gumball Green, Wisteria Wonder and Island Indigo
Accessories : Stamp-a-ma-jig, Dimensionals and Paper Snips
I do like the clean lines on this card and have another in the pipeline (using different stamps) that I am going to save for Sunday’s team training.
Love your take on our sketch challenge. The flowers on the trellis are so pretty. Thanks for joining us at CC&S this week
