I know it’s Mother’s Day but I was up early and have already been in my craft room this morning.
I’m usually the early bird in the family so today is no exception, more so because the dog woke me up and wanted to go out early. I did get my own back as I thought that 6.30 am was a little too early for him to have breakfast so I have made him wait while I did a little crafting and wrote this.
I thought I’d share what I’ve been up to this morning. Namely cards for my Mother and my Mother In Law. It is Mother’s Day after all. I’ll be out later today delivering them along with the gifts we have bought them.
Essentially they are the same card but I used different colour and style matts for each. I haven’t decided who should get what – I’ll let George choose the one for his mother first.
On this I used the Festive Paper Piercing Pack on the Whisper White label |
On this I simply used a piece of Bashful Blue card stock to make the matt |
Stampin’ Up! supplies used:
Stamp sets : Papillon Potpourri and Wonderful Mother
Card stock : Whisper White, Pink Piroutte, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue
Ink : Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Pink Piroutte and Melon Mambo
Accessories : Labels Collection Framelit dies, Festive Paper Piercing Pack, Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Stamping Sponges
Just in case you were wondering the stamped butterflies have been stamped onto a piece of Whisper White that has been sponged with Pink Piroutte. I wanted to give the images very light background colour but did not want to use an actual piece of Pink Piroutte. The sponging effect makes a very subtle effect – just right for the butterflies.
