Today has been a busy day as I’ve just returned from training in Crawley. It only takes an hour to drive from my home but it still meant I was up early. After a late night finishing my swaps an early start in this cold weather was not what I really needed, but I have to say I had a great day and met lots of lovely ladies. I even won a prize in the raffle!
Here is a slightly different version of my swap that I took. The only difference from the swap is that this card is matted onto Marina Mist and then onto the Whisper White and my swap only had the Bashful Blue matted directly onto the Whisper White. Sorry ladies I didn’t have enough Marina Mist to do all 17 so I thought I’d miss off the additional layer.
The card was made using the double embossing technique. This is something I’ve been wanting to try and it has come out just as I planned. I must admit that there were a few errors along the way trying to figure out the right combination to put through the Big Shot, but I am pleased with my efforts.
For those you trying to figure out what products I used, they were:
Card stock – Marina Mist, Bashful Blue and Whisper White
Ink – Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi
Stamp Sets – Papillon Potpourri, Itty Bitty Banners, Tiny Tags
Accessories – Lacy Brocade and Designer Frames Embossing Folders, Extra Large Oval and Elegant Butterfly Punches, Bitty Banners Framelits, and Whisper White Organza Ribbon
Check back tomorrow to see some of the projects we made today – that’s assuming I get all of them finished. We were too busy chatting that some of us only managed to get a couple finished!
