As I said the other day, butterflies are really in vogue at the moment, so here is another one that I would like to share with you.
This card involved a few different techniques and was a lot of fun to make.
Firstly, we made our own spritzers using the new Stampin’ Spritzer bottles (set of 2), Rubbing Alcohol (Isopropyl Alcohol) and Stampin’ Ink Refills. I added drops of Summer Starfruit to mine. If you can’t get hold of any Rubbing Alcohol you can use water. The issue with using water is that it tends to warp the card stock and can also take sometime to dry, but the final result should be similar.
I spritzed both pieces of Very Vanilla before stamping the images. The closer you hold the spritzer to the paper the bigger the droplets so it is best to stand back a little so that a finer mist hits the card stock. Make sure you put plenty of paper down to catch the misses!
The products used to make the card were:
Card Stock : Island Indigo, Summer Starfruit, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla
Ink : Crumb Cake (Stampin’ Pad) and Summer Starfruit (Stampin’ Ink Refill)
Stamp Set : Kindness Matters
Accessories : Chevron and Square Lattice Embossing Folders, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border, Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons and Basic Pearls.
If you don’t fancy making your own spritzers then you can purchase pre-made ones in the form of a Smooch Spritz. These come in three pearlised colours – Gold Glow, Silver Frost and Vanilla Shimmer.
