My post of August 9th mentioned that I had visited a US demo and between us we had designed a project. As I said then, I am unable to share mine at the moment but as promised here is a link to Jenny’s post on the PinkPaper Bakery Blog.
To make up for not being able to share mine now, here are a couple of projects that I have made in the last few days.
The first is a little decorated canvas. I bought the blank canvas some time ago, not because I wanted the canvas but because I wanted the easel that came with it for displaying cards! Also, for some reason only know to the store, it was cheaper to buy them as a pack than an easel alone! I finally decided the other day that it was about time that I decorated the canvas and this is the result. Quite cute I think.

The second is a card made from acetate. I remembered on the flight home from the states that I have not been doing too well with my new year resolutions. July’s has gone completely out the window but it’s not too late for August as we are only in the middle.
Stamping on acetate is fairly easy so long as you have the right sort of ink. I used a solvent based ink as it is quick drying and made specifically for stamping on non porous surfaces. An image from the Reason to Smile stamp set was stamped all over the acetate before I folded it in half to make the base card.
Just in case you were wondering how all the other elements were made. I used my Big Shot together with the heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, a couple of the Framelits Dies and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit. I also used the Oval and Oval Scallop punches to make the greeting together with a stamp from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.
The flower image was stamped using Cajun Craze and Not Quite Navy Stampin’ Write markers and I used Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Not Quite Navy card stock too. I finished off the butterflies by adding various sized Basic Pearls.
