This morning I want to share one of the cards that the ladies at my last class made. The theme of the class was the New Summer Mini Catalogue so they got to play with some of the items that I had purchased.
As with all my classes we tend to make the simplest card first, so the one I am showing you here was the one they got to make last.
To make it, we used the Apothecary Art stamp set, the Framelit and Edgelit Dies and also some of the lovely Attic Boutique Designer Series Paper.
Here is the card standing up |
Here is the closed card so you can see the whole thing |
The base card is a piece of Soft Suede, but we also used Pool Party and Very Vanilla card stock too. This is very much a waste not want not card, as the card stock and DSP that was cut off using the Edgelit Die was then stuck to the inside right of the base card so that when it is closed it looks like the whole of the inside is layered with them. This is not the case and there is in fact a Very Vanilla framelit inside so that a message or greeting can be added.
The Apothecary Art frame was stamped in Soft Suede and then the ladies were let loose with a Blender Pen and my Stampin’ Ink Pads in Daffodil Delight, Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz to colour the stamped image as they liked. The greeting also comes from the Apothecary Art stamp set and we stamped this in Pool Party. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure that the greeting was stamped exactly where I wanted it.
To finish off the card we added a piece of scrunched Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon and an Antique Brad.
My next monthly class is being held on 29 June from 7.30 pm. There are a couple of spaces left, so if you are interested in attending please let me know. Full details can be found by clicking on the following link – Events & Classes. There are also a couple of spaces left on the Waterfall Album class if you are interested.
This is yummy its using the stamps I have recently purchased so it might be something I have to try
