Don’t you just love it when your mother calls to say that she had told a good friend of hers that I would make her a retirement card to give to another friend, and then drops bombshell “by the way” it’s needed tomorrow.
Luckily I had all my Stampin’ Up! and other card making supplies out so I was able to make the following using the Just Believe set of stamps.
I used a cream card and masked off the bottom so that I had a clear straight line to stamp over. The base card was stamped using the large stamp from the Just Believe stamp set. I used Pacific Point (from the Brights collection) but used the repetition method so that I had a lighter shade of the same colour further along the card. The smaller leaf was stamped in Sahara Sand (from the Neutrals collection). I used my nestabilites to die cut a piece of double sided paper from the Blueberry Crisp designer paper collection (sadly no longer available) and a smaller piece of Saraha Sand cardstock. My mother’s friend likes a bit of bling on the cards that she sends, so I added some Basic Rhinestones to give the necessary sparkle and popped the message on using some Stampin’ Dimensionals.
