This week it’s the turn of Wei to host the challenge and she has a sketch for us. It took me awhile to make up my mind as to which stamp set to use but I finally decided upon the Colorful Seasons.
My first thought was to use the snowflakes from the stamp set, but I actually went with the flowers. And, this is what I came up with.
All of the flowers were stamped using Pool Party ink directly onto the Whisper White layer. I then die cut three of them using the coordinating Seasonal Layers Thinlits . I did this because I wanted the Night of Navy cardstock underneath to show through.
Here’s a peek of the inside.
Instructions on how to make this Colorful Seasons card are as follows
- Night of Navy card base – 10.5 x 29.7 cm scored and folded at 14.9 cm to make the base card.
- Whisper White layer – 10.0 x 14.4 cm.
- Flowers stamped in Pool Party ink and then three cut out using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.
- Small circles stamped in Night of Navy and then Basic rhinestone also added. Colour the rhinestones using a Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend.
- Stamp sentiment in Night of Navy ink.
- Glue the stamped Whisper White to the card front and then add the die cut flowers using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Add clear Basic Rhinestones to the centres of the three die cut flowers.
- Whisper White inside – 10.0 x 14.4 cm glued into the card once flowers were stamped in Pool Party.

I love how you’ve cut out and slightly popped up a few of the flowers, not just for the dimension, but also for the peek of darker blue showing through. It’s a great idea for adding interest but still keeping your card very CAS. Excellently done!
