Hello and welcome to this week’s challenge. A new month means that there is a new host and this month it’s the turn of Karen.

The first Tuesday of the month is always a colour challenge and this is what Karen came up with.

I love these bright and cheery colours and went the floral route with them using the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. There is a set of co-ordinating dies, Bouquet Bunch Framelits, and I used a few of the cute smaller ones (flower, tag and bow)out of the set.

Challenge, Stampin' Up! UK, Oakfield Crafts, Beautiful Bouquet
I’m guessing that I strayed from the “simple” to a certain extent. I originally stamped all the stems, leaves and flowers as one layer but felt that it needed something extra.
I stamped the small flowers three times onto some scrap and die cut them out. I also snipped the white lines between the petals so that I could add some more dimension.

I finished off by adding a some rhinestones to a few of the flowers. Of course the inside was decorated too and I took the quick and easy route with some Washi Tape.

I hope you feel inspired by my card, don’t forget to go and check out what the other member’s of the design team have come up with. You can click HERE or on the picture of the design colours for the link.

Happy stamping

  1. I love the dimension you've given the bouquet by popping up some of the blossoms and using the rhinestones for the centers. It's a great CAS card!

  2. What a sweet card, Fiona! Love the flowers and your design. The popped out flowers and rhinestone embellishments are so cute!

  3. Absolutely LOVE this Fiona. Such a pretty bouquet and I especially like how you have added dimension to some of the pretty flowers. Beautiful use of the challenge colours and so inspiring . Hugs Bev x
