It’s the last Tuesday of March and being the 4th Tuesday of the month it’s time for a fun sketch for this week’s CAS Colours & Sketches challenge.
This will also be the last challenge that I get to set for awhile. I hope you have enjoyed them so far and that they have inspired you to take part.
I took the easy route this time around and came up with the card below.
I did have to go slight astray though because I had to use a rectangle for the Panda instead of a square. Basic instructions for the card are as follows:
- Bermuda Bay card base – cardstock measuring 21.0 x 14.9 cm scored and folded at 10.5 cm
- Whisper White layer – cardstock measuring 10.0 x 14.4 cm glued directly onto the card front.
- Banner – piece of Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper *(DSP) measuring 4.0 x 14.0 cm and punched at one end using the Banner Triple Punch. This is glued straight into the Whisper White layer.
- Whisper White piece for stamping – 6.5 x 8.0 cm and Panda (from Party Pandas*)stamped in Archival Black ink onto this. The piece is then added to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Balloon – scrap piece of Bubbles & Fizz DSP. Stamp balloon and sentiment in Archival Black ink and then when dry fussy cut out using Paper Snips. Add balloon over the balloon on the Whisper White piece using a Stampin’ Dimensional.
The inside of the card was decorated as follows:
- Whisper White layer – 10.0 x 14.4 cm glued to the inside of the card.
- DSP strip – 1.5 x 14.4 cm glued to the Whisper White layer leaving a 0.5 cm gap on the right hand side of the Whisper White.
* Both the Bubbles & Fizz DSP and the Party Pandas are available until 31 March as part of this year’s Sale-A-Bration.
