Hello and welcome to the first CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge for 2018. I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year break.

This month we welcome Wei, Marsha and Jeanne to the Design Team. This is the first time that all three have been posting on the same challenge, and this means that there are now 10 of us of the design team. Lots for you to be inspired by each week.

Bev will be designing all the challenges for this month, and here’s her first.

I have lots of new stamp sets and embellishments to play with this month (start of the 2018 Spring/Summer and Sale-A-Bration) but decided to keep things simple to fit in with the challenge.

Amazing You, Sale-A-Bration, #Oakfieldcrafts, #Stampinupuk
I’ve used the Amazing You stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue (available until 31 March 2018). To find out more about Sale-A-Bration click here.
The colour combination is Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Black to tie in with the strip of designer series paper (from the Picture Perfect Party DSP) that I used in the gap between the top and bottom piece of Berry Burst.

The only bit of the card popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals is the “You You You” strip. Everything else is glued flat.
Of course the inside has a stamped piece of Whisper White in it for writing a greeting. I’m thinking that you could use this card for all sorts of occasions. Passing a driving test, graduating from university (or college), birthday or just a great “pick you up” card. Hope you like it.
Don’t forget to pop over the the CC&S blog to see what everyone else has been up to and I hope that you feel inspired to take part in the challenge too.
Happy stamping
Fiona xx
The product list for this project is below.
Don’t forget, spend £45 (excluding P&P) and you can choose the Amazing You stamp set (Clear or Wood Mount) for free.

  1. Beautiful card, Fiona. I love the rich colours and how you used the sketch. Great how you decorated the inside of the card too x

  2. I like how the burst below the sentiment is echoed on the inside of the card. (I so rarely take the time to decorate the inside of my cards…) Your card is very bright and cheery!

  3. LOVE this colour combo, so bright, cheerful and VERY much needed on this gloomy day here in the UK. LOVE how you used the sketch and CAS perfection. Hugs Bev x
