This is our last challenge for 2017. We will be taking a break over the Christmas period and will be back on 9 January 2018 with a sketch challenge from Beverley.

In the meantime, here’s this week’s challenge.

I’ve opted to go with Challenge #227 from 13 June.

This is what I came up with using the Cheers to the Year stamp set, which is sadly retiring in January.
I actually started with a Thick Whisper White card base and then matted a piece of Night of Navy on top. The Soft Sky strip of cardstock down the left-hand edge has snowflakes in Soft Sky stamped over it. I did this before I glued the strip to the edge.
The wreath was stamped in Soft Sky before I stamped the Night of Navy snowflake over it. I had to use my Stamp-a-mag jog to do this to make sure of the correct placement. The whole thing was then punched out using a 2″ circle punch.
The smaller snowflake was stamped in Soft Sky and then punched out using the 1-3/8″ circle punch.
The Merry Christmas which came from the Merry Patterns stamp set (no longer available) was stamped in Night of Navy onto Whisper White cardstock and made it into a banner for the card front.

The snowflakes were finished off with some Glitter Enamel dots in the centres and I also added a few to the card front itself.

This is the last CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge for 2017 so don’t forget to check out all the other design team member’s projects. Before you disappear and do that though, here’s wishing you a Very Happy Christmas and a fabulous 2018.

  1. Very pretty card. Love the blue; it gives the card a nice winter feel. I'm looking forward to being on the CC&S design team with you.

  2. My fave, snowflakes! Love the shades of blue you have used and the snowflakes stamped inside circle die cuts is a fab idea. Wonderful CAS and festive inspiration. Hugs Bev x
