Seeing as there are five Tuesdays in August, it’s time for a double challenge. We don’t have these too often and this is what Karen has for us.

The three colours are retired so I’ve opted to use Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz and Pink Pirouette, which I think are the three closet current colours.

I have to confess that I’m not big on square cards, but I do make them on occasion. This is what I came up with for the challenge.

The card was made as follows:
  • A 10.5 x 21.0 cm piece of Thick Whisper White was scored and folded at 10.5 cm.
  • Glue a 3.5 x 10.5 cm piece of Pear Pizzazz to the front and
  • Then glue the 3.0 x 10.5 cm piece of Soft Sky over the top of the Pear Pizzazz strip
  • Stamp the image from the Grown with Love stamp set in the Pear Pizzazz onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and then cut it out using a stitched circle framelit from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.
  • Glue the stitched circle to the card front.
  • Re-stamped the image in Pink Pirouette onto some scrap Whisper White and cut out the flowers using the die from the Garden Grown Framelits.
  • Add the flowers to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and then add a couple of

You can see the popped up flowers better in this second photo.
Hope you give the challenge a go and you can find the link to add your card over on the CC&S blog.

  1. Oh, Fiona, your card is beautiful! Your card inspired me to outline my vertical strip too 🙂 I love the dimension of the flowers with the tiny pearl centers!

  2. This is so soft and pretty. The little scene of foliage and flowers inside the circle is perfect. The added dimension of the pink flowers with the pearl centres is my favourite part. Great use of the colours and sketch. Hugs Bev x
