Hello and welcome to this month’s Global Stampers Blog Swap. The theme this month is Vacations, or in UK speak Holidays.
Growing up, all of my holidays were spent in the UK either camping near the south coast, on a farm in North Devon or visiting my grandparents who lived on the Wirral.
The Vacation theme along with the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper reminded me of the times we would go caravaning. Thankfully, we were never one of those families who towed a caravan behind the car causing a long tail back of slow moving traffic (especially when faced with some steep hills). Although there was always la ot of “are we there yet?”. The caravan we stayed in belonged to friends of my parents and it was on a static campsite called Sandy Balls. I just googled them, and the campsite site is a lot more upmarket than when we visited some 30+ years ago!

I made the sentiment myself using the Labeler Alphabet stamp set. The caravan, tent and the camp-fire where all fussy cut from a sheet of the designer series paper and then popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals rather than glued to the card front. The tree, tent and camper trailer on the card below, were also fussy cut.

There was no stamping involved on the card above because it features one of the cards from the Perfect Days Memories & More Card Pack. We used this pack at last week’s training day and I’ll share some projects from then another time.

This third card features the stamp set designed to co-ordinate with the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper. It’s called Pieces & Patterns and I used two of the stamps from the set.
Here are the projects from everyone else.
Get minds think alike, because Ann has used the same Designer Series Paper as me. She has paired hers with a sentiment from the Colorful Seasons stamp set.
Robbie’s project features the Paisleys & Posies stamp set. I just love the idea of using the swirls as waves. The sentiment comes from the Eastern Beauty stamp set.
Val has paired the High Tide stamp set with the compass from the Wherever You Go stamp set to create this seaside scene.
Alicia is taking a break this month. She has just moved house, and is busy unpacking and getting settled in.
Don’t forget to pop over and see everyone’s projects in more detail, but before you go I’d like to tell you about another of June’s special offers.
For every £45 you spend between 1 and 31 July you will receive a £4.50 bonus coupon to spend in August. Coupons are emailed direct to you by Stampin’ Up! so if you are ordering direct with me, make sure I have your correct email address. Also, don’t forget to save the codes somewhere safe to avoid deleting them.
