This year, Stampin’ Up! are celebrating their 10th Year in Europe. To celebrate this, Stampin’ Up! UK have challenged UK demonstrators to make 10,000 cards over two weekends. All of these cards will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities here in the UK.

For those of you not aware of this, Stampin’ Up! have been proud to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) since 2003. Since then, each Annual Catalogue has a specially designed stamp set and part of the proceeds from each stamp set is donated to the charity.

Ronald McDonald House Charities provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families while their child is in hospital. There are 14 Ronald McDonald Houses across the UK, all located close to specialist children’s hospitals. The Houses are open 365 days a year and are equipped with everything you would find in a family home. Families can get a good night’s sleep, prepare their own meals and feel at home, knowing that they’re only moments away from their child.

Last year the UK held a Christmas Card challenge, and the event I held donated 535 cards out of the just over 3600 made.

So, how can you help?

1. Join us at one of the weekends set aside for this year’s card challenges.

The first one is 23- 25 June, and details of the event that Carol, Esther and I are holding are below. I hope you can join us at one of the sessions. Please email us and let us know which time slot you would like to enrol on.

The second event will be a Christmas card challenge and will be held the first weekend of December, so save the date.

2. Purchase a RMHC stamp set.

The My Hero stamp set (page 209) from the 2016 Annual Catalogue is available until 31 May on a while stocks last basis and £2.00 from each stamp set sold is donated the the charity.

From 1 June a new stamp set called Sharing Sweet Thoughts will be available. And again, £2.00 from every set sold will be donated to RMHC.

We look forward to hearing from you, but if you have any questions please contact us via email.
