April is rolling by and not a sign of any April showers either. A few grey skies but as I write this I am enjoying a warm sunny morning.
This is Bev’s third week for setting the challenges and she has the following colour one for us.

I am a bit limited on crafting supplies where I am at the moment but have a couple of stamp sets and all of these colours (in one shape or form). This is what I came up with.

I have a few invitations to send out for various events and this was the design I came up with.

The base card is Tip Top Taupe and the layer under the Whisper White is Mint Macaron cardstock. Both of these colours are from the 2015-2017 In Color Collection and will be retiring on 31 May.

All of the images (the Old Olive lacy strip and the Mint Macaron flowers come from the Touches of Texture stamp set.  I don’t have many sentiment stamps with me so I made my own up using the Labeler Alphabet stamp set. I really like this alphabet set because you do get duplicates of some letters so you can make a whole sentiment in one go.  And what’s more, it reminds me of the small letter stamp set I had when I was a kid. You know the one (can’t remember its name), it came with a small pair of plastic tweezers.

All of the flowers on the card are stamped in Mint Macaron ink onto Mint Macaron cardstock and then fussy cut using a pair of paper snips.

For the actual invites that I sent out for my Celebrate Sale-A-Bration, I re-made the card using different colours. Here are some of them.

These invitations were made using Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon and Watermelon Wonder inks and cardstock. There are the other three colours from the 2015-2017 In Color Collection.

Instead of using the flower from the Touches of Texture sent I used the Petite Petals stamp set. The flowers were punched out using the co-ordinating punch. Sadly, both the Petite Petals stamp and punch were on the Retirement List, and have already sold out here in the UK. You can however use whatever small flower stamps that you have.

I hope you like the cards, and as always please feel free to leave a comment.

  1. Love that Touches of Texture set anyway, but your card uses it brilliantly. Looks really classy in the CC&S colours.

  2. A wonderful CAS design and it shows that challenges can be achieved with limited supplies too. Perfect placement and balance with your florals too. Hugs Bev x
