It’s been a bit of a Dragonfly Dreams weekend. On Saturday I held my Dragonfly Dreams all day class and yesterday (Sunday) was Mother’s Day here in the UK.

One of the things I like to do for those who come to an all day class is to give a little table gift and the last class was no different. Of course it had to tie in with the theme of the class so I came up with a box that holds 3 Ferrero Rocher chocolates.

The little boxes each started off as a piece of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock measuring 18.0 x 17.5 cm and ended up as a box that measures 11.0 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm.
Before they were glued, the boxes were decorated using some of the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper.
The second box given over weekend was this decorated White Gift Box. The 7.6 x 7.6 x 7.6cm boxes come pre-cut so all you need to do is decorate them.

Again I used paper from the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper pack, but this time the blues and greens sheets.

Decorating boxes is one of the  great ways of using up some scrap Designer Series Paper, that’s assuming you can bear to part with it.

Here are the two boxes together so you can see the size comparison. Just so you know, the white gift boxes come with an acetate sleeve and I did not put it on the box for the photo due to the glare.

I hope you like my boxes and if you would like to give the Ferrero Rocher box a go, I have added details of how to make it on my Tutorials page.
