a last play last Wednesday before I headed off to Jacksonville, early on Thursday morning. Ok, so I know I was supposed to be packing, cleaning etc but lets face it who wouldn’t rather be crafting?

I spotted the latest Global Design Project challenge and loved the colour combination, so thought I’d make a card even though I’m not entering it into the challenge (it’s too late as they will be onto the next one by the time this posts). Maybe next time.

I knew exactly what it was that I wanted to do.  One of the stamp sets I brought over to the USA with me is the Falling Flowers and it has a fabulous set of matching dies called May Flowers. This is what I came up with.
I used my Blender Pens to colour the leaves, flowers and buds. You can simply pick up the colour from the lid of the ink pad. Tip, with ink pad closed, squeeze the lid down and ink will be transferred to the inside.

There is a hint of Wink of Stella on the flowers too.

I did change my mind about how to add the flower(s) to the card front quite a few times and ended up with two spare ones that I’d coloured and die cut out. Rather than waste them, I glued one to the inside of the card and the other will be used to decorate the back of the envelope and will be adhered on like a seal when I’m ready to send the card.
