This weekend George and I celebrated our 33rd Wedding Anniversary (gulp). I’m beginning to think we should really have a half anniversary because yet again we are on different continents.  I’m currently in the USA and on day 4 or 5 of a 2500 mile drive from Jacksonville in FL to San Diego in CA. George is in the UK. Oh well.

I made George this card and posted it to him. It’s pretty safe to share here because he very rarely looks at the blog.

There’s a bit of fussy cutting going on with the seaweed and the fish. Not all of the seaweed was fussy cut, there are two lots simply stamped in Mint Macaron onto the Designer Series Paper. I also made the sand by simply cutting a wavy line in a piece of Delightful Dijon cardstock.

I kind of cheated on this card because I simply stamped two fish and turned one upside down! I thought I might get away with it, but the fish on the left has it’s eye placed lower. Next time I am going to give the Reverse Image Stamping Technique a go.

The Happy Anniversary sentiment (from Teeny Tiny Sentiments) was stamped in Dapper Denim onto a piece of Very Vanilla and then I stamped some bubbles in stamped off Mint Macaron over the top. I matched up the bubbles with those on the card front and adhered the sentiment over the top using Dimensionals.
Fingers crossed that George liked the card. Please feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think.
