It’s raining out so this afternoon I’ve was doing a bit of tidying up in my craft studio ready for this evenings Project Life class. It suddenly dawned on me that I’d not finished and uploaded this week’s card for a challenge.

I have gone for the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #163 which is a colour challenge – and very challenging it was too.

My first thoughts was that it should be easy, but it was in fact far more difficult than I thought it would be. This is what I came up with using the One Big Meaning and Wild about Flowers stamp sets.

Just so you know, I only used the flower heads on the outside of the card.

I started by stamping the greeting in Mint Macaron, and then masked it with a post-it note that I cut up slightly larger than the greeting.

I then stamped all the flowers around the edges of the post-it note. Some of them were stamped off first and others not.

On the inside of the card, and also on the envelope I stamped the whole flower including the stem.

This technique is pretty simple to do and I hope you give it a try. Feel free to leave a comment about my card.

If you are interested in what products I used, the details are as follows:

  1. Masking and blocking off the sentiment really makes it stand out. Thanks for joining us at CC&S this last week. Stef x

  2. I love how you've used the flowerheads – like a really cheerful border! And a lovely sentiment too. Thanks for joining us again this week at CC&S. Caro x

    1. Love the colour combination Jane. It's just one of those that you think you have lots of ideas but they don't quite work to your satisfaction! I was pleased with this one though.
