Yesterday was Mother’s Day here in the UK. This causes some confusion in our house because the kids are in the USA and they don’t celebrate it there until May.

This year I decided to make both the present and card to give to my Mum. I’ve had a large wooden heart sitting in a box for sometime, it’s been waiting for me to come up with an idea as to how to decorate it. This is what I came up with.

I used the Botanical Builder Framelit Dies to decorate the wooden heart. My mum has a pale blue sofa in her lounge so I opted to use Lost Lagoon, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay card stock for the flowers. The fronds are in Pear Pizzazz.

The card was kept to the same theme – a heart. I used the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit Die along with some Lost Lagoon card stock and Dazzling Details glimmer paper.
