This past Saturday I held my last All Day Craft Event of 2015. I have more planned for 2016, and details will be going on here very soon.

Everyone who came, used the Gift from the Garden stamp set and Hearth & Home Thinlit Dies, and most received them as part of their goody bag. Those who already had one or both of those items got to choose something of equal value.

The projects planned included a couple of 3D items and lots and lots of cards. In fact there were 10 cards in total. It was a busy but fun time for all and quite a few tongues made their appearance with all the fussy cutting going on.

These are a couple of the projects that everyone made.

The basket was made from the Berry Basket BigZ L Die, and it holds six mini square cards with envelopes. There is room for more, but I thought that six cards (some of which had some fussy cutting involved) were more than enough to keep people busy.

Here are two of the cards that were in the basket.

The cards actually measure 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm (when folded), but by making them slightly smaller (7.0 cm x 7.0 cm) you could cut all six out of one sheet of A4.

The little flowers are from the Tree Builder Punch and the heart flower on the right has Crystal Effects on it. I have to admit that I’m really happy with how cute all the cards came out.

All of the cards featured the Gift from the Garden stamp set, the one below being a good example. The brick wall on the card below was made by inking the Brick Wall embossing folder with Smoky Slate ink using a brayer. The trick was to ink the raised part so that when the whole piece of Whisper White was put through the Big Shot the de-bossed parts took the ink and made the bricks more pronounced.

The flower boxes were made using the Hearth & Home Thinlits. The smaller one by running the framelit and Soft Suede card stock through the Big Shot twice – the second time to make the box shorter.

I’ll let you into a little secret… The Hearth & Home thinlits are being carried over into the 2016 Spring/Summer Catalogue. Yippee.

Details of the Stampin’ Up! products used in these projects are as follows:
